A Letter From Our Chapter President

Hello and Welcome to the Theta Tau Chapter of Alpha Phi!

Being a part of this chapter has been the most rewarding part of my college experience and I feel so lucky to serve as Chapter President for such an impressive group of women! They inspire me every day with how involved they are in our chapter and the campus community, while still dedicating themselves fully to their academics and helping others along the way. Many of our members are leaders in other clubs on campus, are involved in athletics, and work as tutors or teaching assistants for a variety of classes! I am so grateful to know such supportive and empowering women.

While our sisters all have their unique interests and passions, the common bond of Alpha Phi and our high ideals connect us. Our high ideals–character, innovation, generosity and sisterhood–are at the heart of everything we do. Sisters are always finding the time to support each other and spend time together through attending our sisterhood events, watching movies in the house, and studying for exams together. Some of my favorite memories are ones that I wouldn’t have without Alpha Phi. From late night conversations spent on our living room couch to painting tote bags in the dining room, I have loved having a place to have fun and call home while at school.

Each year, our chapter hosts several major events including the Red Dress Gala, Alpha Phifa, and our Take Heart/Heart Health Week. All of these are in support of the Alpha Phi Foundation, which is a philanthropic initiative to support women’s heart health research, academic scholarships, and leadership training. This cause is very special to our sisters and I feel grateful to contribute to its impact. Outside of our international philanthropy, our sisters are also passionate about local causes. Volunteering at the food pantry, cleaning up local parks, and putting together food/clothing drives are some ways sisters give back, and they are always looking for new opportunities.
